Our activities in all countries throughout the world are especially centred on the needs of the poor and handicapped people, regardless of race, religion or gender.

The Order Of Malta and Blankets 4 Africa

Tucked away in the green countryside between Ngong and Matasia outside Nairobi, is the Dream Children’s Home, an orphanage founded in 2004 by its director, Mrs. Rachel Gichia.

This is where, on 9th July 2015, more than 700 blankets were donated to the orphanage thanks to a project known as Blankets4Africa which receives used airline cabin blankets and bedding and works together with the Order of Malta in Kenya to distribute these to charitable institutions in Africa.


National Day Festivities - 2015

The 7th July was a remarkable day!  H.E. Ambassador Augusto Ruffo di Calabria decided to begin the National Day festivities with the celebration of Holy Mass at St. John’s Church in the slum of Korogocho.  “You are the future of Kenya”, said the Ambassador as he addressed the 753 school children in the congregation.  “We have come here to express the Order’s solidarity towards you, your school teachers and parents”.  Everyone in attendance was humbled by the discipline, dignity and enthusiasm displayed by the children….an example to emulate!


Award Ceremony

A dinner hosted at the Embassy Residence by H.E. Ambassador Augusto Ruffo di Calabria on the 17th March 2015 was the occasion for an award ceremony at which Reverend Father David John Ayotte, S.J., was granted the CROSS PRO PIIS MERITIS “PRO MERITO MELITENSI” from His Most Eminent Highness the Prince and Grand Master and the Sovereign Council of the Order of Malta.
