The Order of Malta is engaged in constantly improving the livelihood of men, women and children. Sleeping Bags Donation To Thomas Barnardo Children's Home

In the context of the Blankets4Africa project, our Order donated 570 sleeping bags (kindly received from British Airways) to the Thomas Barnardo Children’s Home on 1st July 2016.  Of these, 236 blankets were distributed to Mashimoni Squatters Primary School for use by the younger children.  The Head Teacher, Mr. Ferdinand Muzaya, in appreciation of the donation, said that the sleeping bags arrived at a most appropriate time for the smaller children.  The second term is usually referred to as the “winter” season and the warm sleeping bags were also going to be used at home for extra warmth.

On 12th June 2016, in the company of the Very Reverend Monsignor Marco Ganci, Counsellor of the Apostolic Nunciature in Kenya, our Deputy Head of Mission, Dr. Franco De Paoli, accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Marinella De Paoli, paid a visit to the House of Charity located in Nairobi.
