Oct 31, 2018
On 22nd October 2018, H.E. Ambassador Wilhelm von Trott zu Solz, the Chargé d’Affaires, Dr. Franco De Paoli and the Diplomatic Secretary, Mr. Samuel Mattock paid a courtesy visit to Elyon High School at Dagoretti Corner in Nairobi.

The Embassy team was warmly met by the School Principal, Mr. Daniel Otieno and his Deputy Ms. Lisa Oyuga.  In attendance were also the school Director, Bishop William Eyika and Reverend Grace Eyika from the Baptist Church, in addition to Bishop Orina Nyabeta, Chairman of the School Board from the Christian Family Worship Centre.    Elyon School falls under the aegis of the Baptist Church in Kenya.

For the occasion, the school pupils welcomed the guests with joyful traditional songs and dances.  The Ambassador sincerely congratulated the pupils for their performance and by the same token extended his praise to the School authorities for all the efforts and hard work they have invested since the inception of the school  15 years ago.

Thanks to the generosity of British Airways, the Order was able to offer blankets to the school boarders.
